One of the best kept secrets on the Africa continent, Durban has emerged as a ‘must visit’ city in South Africa, with its ‘Golden Mile’ beachfront, new city center and the busiest port in African. There are endless activities outdoors, including jogging, cycling, swimming, surfing and paddle boating. There are artists, great restaurants, new hotels, shops, bars and events throughout the year, making this once relatively unknown destination one of the most bustling cities on the continent.
The harbour is busy, the beachfront is beautiful, and the city is vibrant and lively at all times throughout the year. A short drive inland takes in the spectacular Valley of a Thousand Hills, with breath-taking views as far as the eye can see, providing a unique view of Zulu culture and artwork of every kind. Head to the Kwazulu Natal and explore the amazing Drakensberg Mountains, visiting the numerous ‘Berg lodges and chalets, and viewing for yourself the ancient San artwork adorning the walls of caves and crevices, one of South Africa’s finest World Heritage Sites.
